Zia Miller's B'nai Mitzvah Project

GEN PALS

CONNECTING THE GENERATIONS

Tweens and teens will be paired with sages from our community for weekly phone calls and fun activities where both groups will get the chance to connect and create new memories.

Hi! My name is Zia Miller and I will be celebrating my bat mitzvah on June 4, 2022. Gen Pals is the mitzvah project I decided to do. Lilia Spiegle of San Diego, my good friend from Camp Eden Village West, created this program during the heart of the pandemic when everyone was feeling so isolated, especially older individuals who felt more at risk from COVID. Lilia shared about Gen Pals at her Zoom Bat Mitzvah which I attended in December, and I was very inspired to bring the program that she had created to Congregation Beth Israel.

This is a free program being offered to Congregation Beth Israel by b’nai mitzvah student Zia Miller.
