Tikkun Olam/Social Action

Develops charitable and service projects, and a social action agenda for CBI in these areas: international, local, Hadarat P’nai Zaken (honoring elders) and other mitzvot for the community, and the Green Menorah (environmental).

Social and Holidays

Provides a variety of fun and enriching social and cultural events for the community

Sunshine and Mitzvot

Connects with our members when they are ill, and also when they have special occasions and lifecycle passages

Arts and Culture

Haverot Sisterhood

CBI’s active women’s group has its own board of directors and provides social, cultural, service and fundraising activities

To join a committee, CBI members can contact the chairperson of that committee. All their names are listed on our board listing at the Our Board page on this website. Additional Committees which are not part of the board include: Social Services (provides social service referrals and guidance), Musicians, Gardening, and Kiddush Committee. Contact the office at 530-342-6146, email CBI at, or send a message on this website, and we can put you in touch with the right chairperson.
