Wake UP Shofar Blowing - Daily (except Saturdays), Now through September 5th, 9:30 am- ish Join us as we wake up our souls and selves to get ready for the New Year! Every morning during the Hebrew Month of Elul, Reb Lisa will be blowing the shofar in the backyard of CBI! Yesterday, Reb Lisa also got to show off the new classrooms! Take a look here! Please USE THIS LINK to join. Back to Shul Kabbalat Shabbat - Friday, August 27th, 7:00 pm Led by Reb Lisa and Hazzan Steve. After a hot summer, welcome back to school and Shul! Let's celebrate the beginning of a new School year, prepare for the new Jewish year, and celebrate being back in our synagogue building! Akiva Barry will also help lead the service as she is preparing for her Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, October 9th. This is a multi-access service (in person in the synagogue and virtually on Zoom). Havdalah and Slichot - Saturday, August 28th, 8:00 pm Join Reb Lisa and Hazzan Steve for a meaningful start to the High Holy Days as we begin to make a turn (Teshuva) toward the the Days of Awe. Selichot are special prayers for forgiveness. Our sages teach that our prayers are especially potent at this time of year. There is additional meaning and power when we gather for these prayers in community. Through soulful song, prayer, and a forgiveness exercise, we will begin our transformation into the new year. We look forward to sharing this special time with you. This is a multi-access service (in person in the synagogue and virtually on Zoom).
